All the way from Chicago, and this spot did not disappoint! We came in hungry and left full and happy. The smoky flavor from the grill was on point—every bite of the pork ribs and chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. For sides, we had mac and cheese, potato salad, and yams—each one was a hit! No misses here. I’d honestly put them at the top of my list, and I’d definitely consider ordering from here for Thanksgiving. Thank you for the warm hospitality! I’ll for sure be back on my next visit.
Made a special trip to try a new rib joint and I AM SO GLAD I DID! Chef Omar is the reason I can rate the Service 5 Stars. He clearly cares about every aspect of the business and considers friendly hosting essential. (Or he's just naturally friendly. Or both.) Atmosphere is not lavish, so 5 stars indicates it's clean, neat, and unpretentious . . . perfect for an urban rib joint. The ribs would rate 5 stars no matter what kind of restaurant they came from. Omar insisted I sample the brisket, too, so I can vouch for it as well. I will return on Saturday for my birthday because, this year, I deserve the best.
We stopped in today for lunch and it was delicious! Their macaroni and cheese is to die for! We tried the pulled chicken, the brisket, and the chicken drumsticks. They were all amazing. Very friendly owner as well :-) would definitely go back.
Stopped in on Friday for lunch. I got the Pork Rib Platter with 2 Sides (Greens & Potato Salad). The ribs were absolutely amazing. The sauce is awesome as well. The kale greens were some of the best I have tasted. Overall everything was great and I strongly recommend Blowin Smoque!
Love the name. And it gets better from there. Happened on this place by accident while waiting for another restaurant to open. I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is nice. And as you walk in you are greeted by delicious smelling food. So i had to try. And it was great.
Catered food for my unit and the staff loved the food. They raved about the Mac& cheese, the cabbage and my personal favorite candies yams!! The pork ribs were delicious and the cornbread was so good!! Will definitely order from here again!!!
Visiting from Delaware by way of Philly. A local who overheard us mention a different eatery, recommended we try here instead. We thought ok why not as it was close by. Since we gave 5 stars the locals must know something is special here! Atmosphere: Ate here with my husband since we could not wait. The place is clean and can fill up fast with customers. We got the talking and you get treated well here. There is a sense of pride, family, and community. Food:The portions were good for the price. Rice and beans were a bit dry but good spice. Greens are on point - heard they run out quick. BBQ chicken drumsticks - juicy and huge! Side of BBQ sauce - yes please. Ribs tender. Gave us a brisket sample and we brought some to go - made dinner the next day easy. Good to know we have this southern BBQ joint just north of us. Will come back.
I ordered online via Uber eats and was pleasantly surprised. Their pork ribs were amazing. The kale greens and Mac and cheese as well. Everything was seasoned perfectly. I have no complaints. And their lemonade is perfect. Just the right amount of tart and not too sweet. Will definitely be ordering again!
